Soup Dragon left this review about The Victoria Inn

A detached undress brick pub, with beer garden and patio at the back. I believe this is a 1939 rebuild for M&B of what i assume was the original Victorian pub (hence the name!).

The interior had a couple of rooms but the lounge was in darkness when i visited on a Monday. I had to gain access from the beer garden, as there was a buzzer on the front door, which i didn't see and simply rattled the door thinking it closed. The bar has grey walls and ceiling, with one wall having flowery wallpaper on. The serving bar itself is brick faced. There were Chesterfield sofas, comfy seats and high stools/chairs. There was some intereting boxing memorabilia on the walls - i know little about it but this was interesting - it included a pair of Jake 'Raging Bull' LaMotta shorts. There were several TVs with Sky Sports News on i what was a small enough room. There was no music. There is a good dart area as well. The service was fine and the mixed clientele seemed friendly enough.

Beer; no real ale, all keg, with a drinkable Banks's MILD.

Interesting boxing stuff. Sadly no real ale, but would pop in for a swift MILD if around again.
