Soup Dragon left this review about The Plough Inn

A large white rendered detached Marston's 2 for 1 pub and eatery, with some visable beams. It looks like an extended farmhouse, at least 18th century. There is a front patio and a beer garden and kids' play area at the back.

The interior is an open plan irregular shaped room. The decor is a mix of white, red and gold flower patterned wallpaper, coffee coloured wood panel, with a black brick fireplace. There is a white and beamed ceiling. There are gaudy mirrors, glitzy cushions and twigs with little lights on them, as well as vases and pictures of Audrey Hepburn. There was a TV though it wasn't on at our visit. The music was general and at a decent level. Obviously, as a 2 for 1 they do food but we didn't eat here so can't comment on that, but the service was really friendly and there were just a few other people in.

Beer; Banks's Bitter and MILD on keg and a decent enough Jennings Cocker-Hoop on handpull.

A general run-of-the-mill Marston's foody place - perhaps a little modern for me, however, the great thing about this pub is that it is the opposite the the Bell pub around the corner, so between the two of them they cater for most tastes.
