Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pheasant Inn

Greene King pub with a solid appearance but quite appealing brick- and stonework. Thoroughly modernised interior featuring generally light furniture and decor in the various seating / dining areas around the central bar which is now islanded. Pool table and dartboard. Front patio beer garden. Some food offers, but nobody eating mid-evening. Just a reversed IPA clip on one of the three handpumps, so had to make do with the 'smooth' keg version (£3.00) instead.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Pheasant Inn

A detached undressed brick mid-20th century looking building, on a traffic island, with rear patio area. Now re-opened after 18 months closed.

The interior is an open plan roon with a central serving bar. The decor appreared to be a green patterned wallpaper, purple and white, with a few undressed brick fireplaces (sadly without a fire), but is was pretty gloomy inside, so not sure. I could make out that there was a pool table and dart board and the TV i watched had the BBC darts on. There was nothing in the way of pictures on the walls or ephemera about, so it looked bare, but the service was friendly and the few locals in said goodbye when i left, which was nice.

Beer; tap stuff with Wychwood Hobgoblin and Greene King Abbot on.

A friendly, but near deserted place, with few lights on and seemingly, no heating - it was freezing. This may answer why i passed it the other day and it looked closed. It did enough to warrant another visit at some stage - likely the summer!
