Soup Dragon left this review about The Old Stags Head

A detached brick built pub, with extension and cream render

The interior had a large L shaped open plan area, for dining and a small bar room, also sadly set out for more 'informal' dining. The decor was mostly white and wood panel (i was in the small room) but there was an eclectic mix of pictures and other ephemera, from grandfather clocks to stags heads (not amazingly) that gave the air of a an episode of the Antiques Show. It was fun, playful even. The sevice was fine and the clientele more mature, but it was well attended. TV was available in our little bar room.

Beer; all tap stuff, with Banks's MILD and Bitter Cask available on electronic pump - the MILD was good.

The place was clearly aimed at the food market - no real place to sit and enjoy a beer that i saw - and no real ale handpumps. Never the less, it was a nice place and i would happily go back
