Much more of a "pub" feel than other nearby options. Banks's Mild, Amber and Sunbeam along with Wainwright's and Pedigree on offer. Not the most exciting choice but still a choice! The Wainwright was fine. Happy to call in again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Moreton Arms

Former country club converted to a pub / restaurant in 1977. Now a Marston's house, it features a range of seating / dining areas in an overall 'L' shape (with counters on two sides of the central servery to match). Usual semi-traditional pubco furniture and decor, but there is a reasonable beer garden for the better weather. With two banks of four handpumps, I found Amber, Mild and Sunbeam (£2.75) from Banks's plus Brakspear Oxford Gold, Ringwood Old Thumper and Bombardier being served.

A lot of work is being done in front of the pub but it does still appear open

A detached white rendered, almost Georian looking Marston's pub and eatery, with patio area and kids' play area

A great review, as ever, from the Monster. The interior has two rooms. The lounge, where they serve their food (i didn't eat, so can't comment on that) is an L-shaped room in coffee and grey, with a nice white moulded ceiling. There are lots of Victorian prints on the walls, cheifly plants, animals and punch style cartoons. The service here was fine and the clientele mixed. The music was general and a decent level. I then wandered into the bar room, which was filled with locals playing a domino match. This room was in cream and wood panel with white ceiling. There was a TV with the footy on and the music was the same. Wolves memorabilia featured heavily, along with various trophies and there was a dart board. The service was fine here as well.

Beer; tap stuff, with Banks's Bitter, MILD and Jennings Soggy Bottom on handpull, the MILD and Soggy were fine.

It has been several years since my last visit and it felt like a pub still... so often food takes over, but not here. The best pub around this area and worthy of a visit, even a short walk for the Premier Inn!

This is a Banks’s (Marston’s) pub which has a long held reputation as a traditional local working men’s type of pub as there are quite often workers from the factory on the other side of the Stafford Road in here. If you enter from the car park at the rear of the building you will find a small and fairly traditional L shaped lounge with a nice fire place immediately on the left and a small bar counter round the corner also on the left, there are various old paintings of animals on the walls. At the back of the room opposite the bar is a double door leading out to a patio, beer garden and kids play area with delightful views of the busy Stafford road! A second room can be found on the left of the patio area, this is more of a public bar with a small bar counter on the left, leather seats, two TV’s at either end of the room and Wolves FC memorabilia on the walls. There is a serving hatch at the back of the bar for the patio and beer garden.

Regular ales are Banks’s Bitter, Banks’s Mild and Marston’s Pedigree with a single changing guest beer from Marston’s portfolio such as Brakspear, Jennings, Ringwood or Wychwood beers. On my last visit this was Jennings Honey Bole, all ales were tried and found to be ok.

A nice traditional pub with a bit of character in an unfortunate setting next to a busy duel carriage way. Beer was good and there is a standard menu of cheap food which I have not tried. I would take the previous review with a pinch of salt as he was the landlord of the Hop Pole near by, and I notice he gave his own pub 10 stars! I’ve visited the Morton Arms several times over the years and I wouldn’t mind popping in again.
