Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cleveland Arms

Unusually low and elongated building, with an opened out and now irregularly shaped bar / sports area spanning the frontage and a smaller semi-separate dining area at the back. Anonymous, semi-modern furniture throughout, with numerous sports TV screens and a few posters on the walls. Front patio beer garden. Food offered. Sadly, no real ale or even a keg mild, so a quick John Smith's (£3.15) it had to be.

Soup Dragon left this review about Cleveland Arms

This is a large detached and somewhat uninspiring exteriored pub/eatery. It is in fact a sport's bar and well-known as such. The pub is either a modern rebuild on the same site, or it completely encompasses the original pub within the extensions that have been added. It is in mainly cream render, with some exposed brick. There is a covered entrance and there are patio areas all around.

The interior is one heck of a massive room that runs in a rough L-shape around the serving bar. There are a couple of raised areas. The walls are a mix of colours such as green, grey, brown etc, with wood panel and the odd wall with patterned wallpaper on. There is a white ceiling and the flooring is a brown carpet at the front and wood around the pool area. A few prints and photos are on the walls, but it feels a little bare in that respect. Ok, sports-wise, there are 5 pool tables and the place hosts exhibition games, as shown by a photo of Steve Davis behind the bar. Darts - there are a couple of boards. Again, they host exhibitions, as shown by photos again and the fact thet Wayne Jones plays for one of their teams and was warming-up on the board as we arrived (my darts remained firmly in my pocket). A host of TVs populate the walls, including a large screen in one of the raised areas. These were showing footy. There was no music. They serve food from a budget menu - but i didn't eat so can't comment on that. The place seems mainly to have food tables, with normal or high chairs. The service was fine and the clientele mainly younger guys, including the language.

Beer; no real ale, so all the usual keg stuff, without a MILD. I had pop.

A great place for those that like the sport's bar kind of place, happy with the general keg beer and likely younger, hence Friday is a DJ night. There is a huge feeling of space around you.
