Soup Dragon left this review about The Bruford Arms

A detached pub that looks c1920, which is when the surrounding area was being built-up. The lower frontage is in brick, with a couple of rounded bow-windows. The upper storey is in cream render, with a front gable. There is a patio area. The interior has a couple of rooms but i only saw the main L-shaped front bar/dining area. This room is in white, red and wood panel and has a touch of the Moroccan about it. There are a lot of TVs, showing footy at my visit. The place does Indian food, and it seemed popular, though i didn't eat. The service was fine and the clientele very cosmopolitan, and from the lad in the baseball cap to the old guy in the corner in his flat cap. Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks's MILD, with no real ale. All-in-all, a nice enough visit - a nice community pub that simply lacks a real ale for my taste.
