Soup Dragon left this review about The Angel

Small terraced kind of Banks's pub, half brick, half white rendered, in Wednesfield town centre.

The interior is still a single U-shape open-plan room around the serving bar, as before, but has now had a refurbishment. The old film stars and pool table have gone. The interior is now white with wood panel walls and a couple of red patterned wallpapered walls, with a white ceiling. There are a couple of fire places and some 'angel' prints on the walls. The service was fine and there was food on - i did'nt eat, but is seemed to have a Carribean flavour and reasonably priced. There is a dart board and a TV, which had the footy on. There were a few locals in and the music was reggae based and at a decent level and there seemed to be some music decks and large speakers, so i don't know if they do music nights.

Beer; tap stuff, but now there is a decent enough Banks's MILD and a Bitter on handpull, at £1.75 - the Spoons is next door!

Another Wednesfield pub that has upped itself with a refurb and real ale Banks's. Happy enough to pop in for one now
