The photo from 2010 and the windows show this to have been a Banks's house but there is now a prominent Marston sign on the wall outside.
It's an open plan L shaped room and the bar counter looks like it has been refurbished. There are two dart boards, a few TVs which were on, a jukebox and a small garden at the rear that looked more like a patio. There were a few locals standing at the bar on my early Thursday afternoon visit.
There are no hand pumps and a fairly limited mainstream keg selection. I went for the Boddington's (£2.40) which had as much resemblance to the Boddington's of old as a pint of Strongbow.
I thought it was a complete waste of time and another Banks's outlet totally ruined.

A small terraced white rendered Banks's pub. There is a beer garden.

The interior is an L-shaped single room, with the bar to the left on entry. The decor is white and wood panel, with a white ceiling, tiled floor and a couple of undressed brick chimney breasts and nice tiled fire places. The seating is red leather and the place looks tidy. There are old photos of the area on the walls and some trophies dotted about for interest. There is a dart board and a TV which had the BBC football on. The service was fine and the clientele all locals.

Beer; tap stuff with a Banks's MILD and Bitter on handpull. I had a pint of mixed for a change and it was decent.

A nice little locals place. I would pop in again.

A small banks's boozer with very much a local feel to it. A good pint but far too smoky inside for me. Perhaps be fine when the smoking ban comes in! Can be found opp the police station
