Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Jolly Collier

Good Beer Guide 2018 pub near the Wyrley and Essington Canal, although not overlooking it. The entrance leads into the busy two-part public bar with a small seating area at the front, the pool table at the back and a patio beer garden beyond. A door beside the counter provides access to a larger, quieter lounge with a further small seating area at the far end. A total of seven handpumps can be found on the two counters, with Wye Valley HPA (£3.10), Wainwright, Exmoor Gold and Enville Ale available when I visited.

Soup Dragon left this review about Jolly Collier

a Large detached 1930s style undressed brick pub, with patio.

The interior has two rooms, with separate entrances. The last time i was in the small bar, Aug 2009, it was like a 1960s throwback with a pool table and dart area, with lots of trophies around. I could only see through from the lounge and it looked like it had had a lick of paint since then. The décor in the lounge (same colours as the bar it seemed) was white (a mix of artex and plain) - and even the ceiling beams were white - with a greeny browny colour. There was little in the way of pictures or ephemera, so it looked bare, though there was a snazzy fireplace and blinds on the windows. The lounge had three TVs, but smooth radio was coming out of one. The service was fine and the clientele locals - pretty loud to, but i dont mean that in a bad way.

Beer; keg stuff, with no MILD. The two handpulls had had seasonal offerings on, but both pump clips were turned around. I had a keg bitter shandy.

Out of the way really and doesn’t do enough to make it worth the trip. Great for playing a bit of pool/darts though - if the real ales are on!
