Soup Dragon left this review about The Brown Jug

A detached 1930s style undressed brick pub with patio and beer garden with kiddies play area.

The interior has three rooms. The lounge door was closed, so i could not see in here. There is a bar, in pink and white, with some old photos, bistro styled prints and a few bits of ephemera. There is a part tiled floor and a nice brick fireplace, which had an impressive fire. The TV was on, but Celebrity Mastermind was turned over for Emmerdale. There was no music. There is - presumably between the bar and lounge, a games room (former smoke room?). This was in pin and grey it seemed and had a pool table and a dart board. The service was functional and a few locals were in.

Beer; all keg stuff, with Banks's MILD. No real ale - i had a shandy

Friendly enough, it lacks the real ale for me to return. One for the locals.
