Another 1960s style detached Banks's pub in undressed and peach painted brick, with patio.

The interior had a couple of rooms, but i only saw the bar. This has a stage area at one end, where the large projected TV image was also displayed. There is a pool table. It has just been a little refurbished as a new gaffer has taken it over (from the Fern and Fallow in Cannock) and is in yellow, peach and white walls and painted brick. The service was fine - indeed, i chatted to the gaffer over his plans as i knew him from the Fern. He is hoping to get live music and karaokes on soon. A few locals were in at my visit.

Beer; tap stuff without even a MILD. I had half of Banks's Bitter. The aim is to get MILD in and progress to real ale (there are two handpulls fitted) when the clientele base is secured.

This is clearly a work in progress and so i shall pop back every now and then and update the review
