This is a detached pub with a bench outside. Who in Christ's name designed this place? - Even Satan turned this place down as an overspill for hell - Bedlam is more inviting. It is a 60s style house, in a grey slab cladding, with a low-level brick extension around it. The interior has a couple of rooms. At the back there is a lounge. I had a quick glance and it is an open room, with vertical striped wallpaper and there was a large pull-down screen with some dance music channel on and several speakers - it looked tidy, despite being empty and loud. The front room is the bar and has pool, darts and a kid's 'gift egg' machine. It is in a tired looking white and coffee, with equally tired seats - there is a tiled floor. A TV has the same music channel on and a couple of pictures of the pub are on the walls. The service was functional, with a few locals in, well, actually outside. It does Indian food, but i didn't see the menu. Beer; no real ale, usual keg drinks with a decent enough M&B MILD. Nothing for the real ale fan - one for the locals and those that study 20th century prisons.
