UPDATE: gone for good, has been coverted into flats.

(Aug 2009) Cottage type, half white rendered, pub with central entrance, where the bar faces you on entry. The interior has a pool room and a bar, in white wood and artex from the 70s, so I felt at home! There were some strange arty pictures out of keeping with the functional, slightly shabby room. The service was friendly and the clientele, like the gaffer, more mature in years. Beer; tap tosh and Banks’s MILD, which was fine. Would pop in every so often, one of those rotating pubs you do for a change, when doing the better ones. There are better, but also worse than this.

Sadly, "The Widders" is boarded up and looking very sorry for itself.
