Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Prince of Wales

Quite a basic local, but a bit larger inside than the compact frontage suggests because it has been partly opened-out into a single-storey rear section to leave an unusual 'question mark-shaped' layout. Probably last refurbished in the 1970s with traditional-style furniture and decor. Just Holden's Golden Glow available on handpump but that was in reasonable shape.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Prince Of Wales

A detached cream rendered cottage style pub with central entrance. There is a samll beer patio at the rear. This pub has no car-park, making it a little awkward to stop of the dual carriageway, but there is a side street you cant see till you are on it!

The inside has a single room, that bends around the central wood bar taht faces you on entry and moves on down the back. The decor is a little twee, in white artex and some red, white ceiling, with its fake beams and green carpet, but is clean. There is a white tiled fireplace. At the back there is a pool table and dart board. There is little on the walls in the shape of pictures, but there are a few brass ornaments and trophies. There are a few TVs, not on at my visit and the music was soft in the background. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of a local family.

Beer; usual tap stuff, with Theakston's Dark Smooth MILD which was OK, sadly, the Chestnut MILD was history (get it back!). there was Courage Directors on handpull, though this had gone at my visit.

Awkward for non-locals maybe to stop, I like this place and will pop in infequently. I just wish the Chestnut MILD was back on.
