The former Park Tavern site in Walsall has been earmarked for 28 homes, along with restaurant and communal facilities, as part of a £4.5 million scheme.
A total of 24 letters of support have been submitted to Walsall Council and now officers have recommended that planning consent is granted by councillors this week.
The pub on Broadway North closed last year and there have been concerns about anti-social behaviour at the site, near the Walsall Arboretum.

I really like this pub, the beer was good for what it was and it sells Newcastle Brown. This is the only pub I am aware of in Walsall that has 3D TV for the football. The outside seating area is nice in the summer and the crowd are friendly.

A white and green multi-building pub, with beer patio and a car park you have to be careful of - a solid fence may help, so you cant misinterpret where to turn into it.
The interior is open plan and modern. Colour scheme is white i think, with a bit of brick, there are arty pictures, high back chairs and comfy chairs and maybe a sofa at the back. There were pool tables, several Sky TVs and the clientele were more younger. Music was blaring out a bit.
The beer; well tap stuff, with no MILD. There was no real ale - one tap, but clip was turned.
I quickly retreated and will not be back. Not my thing at all.
