Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Old House at Home

Large Marston's pub / restaurant with a conservatory-like front extension and plenty of external seating for the better weather. Anonymous semi-modern furniture and decor throughout the various seating / dining areas forming an overall 'L'-shape around the bar counter, but with a good mix of diners and those just in for a drink and a proper atmosphere. With duplicated clips on the two banks of four handpumps, I found Bombardier, Banks's Sunbeam (£2.85), Hobgoblin and Wainwright on offer.

Quite busy on my visit. This one seems to be popular with the locals. Three or Four beers on including Thwaites Wainright and Wychwood Dirty Tackle which were both fine. I would be happy to pop in for a pint again!

A large detached Marston's pub and eatery in cream, with a coservatory/extension. It has a steep sloped roof and dormer windows, so it looks a bit like a Swiss cottage. There is a patio area.

The inside is an an open plan place; an L-shaped bar/lounge area to the left on entry, with a more pure dining area in the conservatory. The decor is a pastle green, red with brown patterned wallpaper and some wood panel - which was grey in the consevatory, with a white ceiling. There were a couple of brick hearth features and a few pictures on the walls. The service was fine, the clientele were a few dining in the conservatory, but people did come in just for a drink. There was footy on the TVs and general music at a decent level.

Beer; the usual tap stuff, with Banks's MILD, bitter and Hobgoblin on handpull and the MILD was fine.

It was better than the usual bland eatery, and yes, for once i would say i would go back, even without eating, though not on a regular basis

Pretty safe pub. Now selling Banks's and Marston's cask ales. Food is fairly standard but has improved of late. All TVs now removed
