A lovely looking pub that once once an old farmhouse and retains it's old cottage look with a bowing roof. It is white rendered with a white painted brick porch and sash windows, square and rounded. it has a beer patio area out the front.

The interior has an open-plan room L-shaped room, near bisected at one point by a brick hearth feature, which allows a safer dart area behind it. The decor is white and a sky blue (painted wood panel and brick) with a wall of part painted rough stone. The ceiling is white artex and beams, with a green patterned carpet. There are several TVs, only one on at my visit, which was showing the darts on Sky TV. There are some books and odd bits of ephemera dotted about and there was no music, though there is a jukebox. The service is friendly and the clientele locals, but mixed over the few occasions we have been in - and there is a friendly feel with good banter going on. The weekend nights get a bit more lively.

Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks’s MILD – which was fine. Since my last visit a real ale handpull has appeared, there was a Tetley Christmas Cracker badge on it, though 'coming soon'.

The place has been spruced-up a little and now has a real ale tap, so to me it has improved from just being a basic pub. There is a good local crowd that enjoy a bit of banter - I would definitely visit this pub again, it is sad it is sort of out on it's own geographically.
