Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bell

Located on a junction just outside the town centre, this is quite a basic pub which thankfully hasn't been altered too much over the years. The bar has been modestly refurbished at some stage and has some banquette seating on two sides, and the lounge is now the pool room. The five beers available from the seven handpumps were Banks's Bitter plus Butty Bach, Slater's Top Totty and two from Holden's - Black Country Mild (£2.60) and Golden Glow - as guests.

This pub has faced an uncertain future of late but is now back in very safe hands, and is getting a refurbishment next week. One welcome change the new landlord has made is the installation of extra hand pulls which now total 8. Marstons and Banks’s occupy most of them but they currently have Enville on also as a guest.

The pub is closed from 6th July for a few days for the aforementioned refurbishment.

The Bell is very much worth a visit if you are in Bloxwich.

Only my second visit to this pub (30.12.2011) but on both occasions I have found it to be friendly and tidy. Besides the usual Carling, Guinness etc keg beers there are Banks's cask mild and cask bitter drawn via electric pump. The juke box was on but not too loud. I felt comfortable and I'd be happy to include it on my future Bloxwich crawls.

A detached corner pub in white render, with double gabled facade. The current pub was built around 1900 to replace an older pub on the same spot. It has a nice walled beer garden.

Inside has a nesting of rooms and a resident parrot. The front bar, to the right on entry, is in cream and has the main serving bar (there is a hatch in the corridor mind). It has a few jugs and a mirror and a couple of pictures, as well as a TV (not on at my last visit)and green leather seating. To the left on entry is the Games Room, which has the dart board. It is in white and wood panel now (the old 1940s styled wallpaper, sadly gone), with a fireplace. There are red leather seats and pictures of film stars on the walls. There is a TV here as well. There is also a small 'Smoke Room' at the back. This is in red and white striped wallpaper and white ceiling (it was a bit dark in there). A nice little room that i have never visited before and now acts as a quiet room. It has Victorian prints and a fireplace too. The service is generally friendly and and the clientele for this pub is really mixed and it often had a decent crowd. They do cobs at the bar. Music, when it is on is from the jukebox.

Beer; tap stuff with fantastic Banks's MILD cask and Banks's Bitter cask on electronic pumps. No handpumps were operating.

Aregular on the Bloko tour for me. Always pop in for one, very rare i do not - not the biggest choice, but tasty!

The Bell is a decent looking pub on the corner of a busy road junction.
Once inside the pub seemed fairly unaltered and there were about three rooms i noticed a basic bar and i went in a comfortable lounge.
This is a Banks's tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Banks's mild and this was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's bitter.
I thought this was a decent pub and i was happy enough having a drink in here.
