Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Toby Carvery Streetly

Typical chain pub / restaurant in a large, modernised suburban roadhouse (with the former Parson & Clerk name still used on some of the signage). The exterior probably looks quite impressive in daylight, but I only really saw the dull, modernised interior featuring numerous seating / dining areas. I was going to eat, until I saw the queue just to get a table inexplicably out the front door on a Wednesday evening, and just headed directly to the bar instead. Thankfully, a perfectly serviceable pint of Doom Bar (£3.70) was available from one of the three handpumps.

E TA left this review about Toby Carvery Streetly

As described by Soupie, below, this very average Toby at least had reasonably priced food and was exactly what I wanted after a long, tiring drive and working day. It was also right next to the Travelodge, which saved me having to forage once I’d checked in. It was far from restful though – screaming children, an aberrant fire alarm, cliched cheering from a group in the corner, all these made my meal less pleasant than it should have been. The staff were mostly superfluous, seeming to perform no useful function apart from one over-worked lady and the slop jockey who just kept piling meat onto my plate even though I explained I was dining alone. The younger staff just shouted at each other, seemingly oblivious of customers. There was one ale on, Pedigree, which was actually in very good condition and quite enjoyable. A useful resting place, somewhere to grab a generous but cheap meal.

Soup Dragon left this review about Parson & Clerk Hotel

A detached Toby Carvery eatery and pub, next to a Travel Lodge, in cream render and painted brick, with wood beams and red paintwork and patio area

The interior is an open plan L-shaped room with partitioned areas and the carvery area being straight ahead of you when you enter. It is of course mainly set out for food, with tables served by chairs, comfy seats and brown sofas. The decor is typical for this kind of place really; chocolate brown, green, coffee, cream wood panel, the token wallpapered wall (crean and black) and some undressed brick. The ceiling is white and cream. There are a few raised areas and brick fireplaces or hearth features. The main interest, as with most Toby's, are the eclectic range of photos, adverts, fun pictures etc that adorn the walls. As such it is a blend of old and new, but really, at this Toby, you come to eat, not just drink. The music was general and at a decent level, the service was fine and a few people were scattered about eating - so different to the place of the 80s i went to. Silent TVs had the news on, as well.

Beer; tap stuff with Brew XI and Pedigree on handpull. The Brew was passable.

Not the best Toby i have visited, but it does the job i am sure - i didn't eat here, so can't comment on that, but i would rather eat at others i have visited, this one was a little bland.
