Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Queens Head

Black Country Ales pub with the usual traditional multi-room layout given a thorough but sensitive refurbishment. Very traditional, but there were a couple of televisions on during my visit showing the coronation ceremony from Westminster Abbey. Anyway, back to the beer, where I found seven real ales and a couple of ciders on from the various handpumps on both sides of the island bar. After the usual prevarication, I went for the M&B Brew XI (now brewed by Brains in Wales, £3.60) as a reminder of the past.

Formerly an Enville house, this is currently a lovely BCA pub over two connected rooms with classic BCA decor. My Fireside (NBSS 3.5) slipped down easily. Notes sparse otherwise!

Another decent Black Country Ales pub, with three BCA ales and two guest. We went for the guest beers, Listers Pride of Sussex and Backyard 1898 dark mild. The mild was superb I have to say, plus the barmaid was very welcoming and chatty.

Another good solid pub from the Black Country Ales group. The 3 regular ales plus AJ's Dukey's Delight, Sharps Atlantic and Bastion Big Hand. Also a good selection of cobs behind the bar. Well worth a visit.

This is a smaller BCA pub. It was showing the World Cup on my visit so I went over to the left away from it. It's open plan and carpeted with a peninsula bar and a darts area to the right. There is a patio at the rear.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had a cider, the three BCA beers, Coastal Poseidon Extra & Cornish Cascade, Itchen Valley New Hampshire, Heritage World Cup Winner, Tres Bien Orbit and 4Ts English Stout. I went for the Cornish Cascade (£3.40) which was sour but was replaced by the 4Ts Stout.
I had several problems with sour or warm beer on my two hot days in the W Midlands so won't mark it down. There are better BCA outlets around but this is OK.

Now part of the Black Country Ales stable, opened 12.12.13, after a short closure for a pretty good refurb. Two real fires and new seating make the front of the pub welcoming, but the large area towards the back is characterless, although a few more customers (6 in @ 5 o'clock) may help.
There is a good range of beers, both from the brewery and also several guest ales giving lots of choice of type and strength.
Overall, it's well worth a visit - the '7' rating could go higher as the pub matures.

Has just reopened after a short closure and there is a to let sign up still. Four real ales on tap and in good condition. Pleasant enough surroundings but you could see the marks on the walls where all the TVs, etc have been removed.Customers were very sparse on a Saturday afternoon.Worth visiting in the hope it will siurvive.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Queens Head

This is an Enville Ales corner pub with a small front patio and a rear patio too. It is in cream render with green paintwork and has a single bay window next to the side entrance on the lower level and three large sash windows on the upper.

The interior has one U-shaped room, as all the older rooms in this pub have been knocked through to form it. The walls are in green, red, cream and white, some of which is painted brick. There is a white ceiling and a carpet floor. There is a wood surround fireplace and some green wall units. There is a dart board and large screen TV showing Sky Sports. The music was a little on the loud side and the clientele was more younger based at my visit - maybe why the scattering of sofas were ripped. There were no real pictures and the service was somewhat functional.

Beer: saying that about the interior, the beer was decent and there was a fantastic choice. Enville Ginger, Ale and Porter were accompanied by Pardoe's Bumblehole and Sarah Hughes MILD and Surprise.

The interior is the opposite to the exterior - and not really my kind of place. The beer makes it all worth while - definitely worth popping in.

Seemingly popular Envile Ales house on busy road.

Comfortable and modernised but still tradional hoouse, opened up, there is louder than average piped music as well as plasma screens showing sport.

Excellent real ale, supporting other local breweries.

Now an Enville tied house and well worth a visit if you like Enville beers. Pub is virtually next door to the New Inn, a Bathams pub
