Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Plough Inn

Traditional pub retaining the main bar / dining area along the frontage and a separate lounge to the rear of the counter. Both parts are comfortably furnished with traditional decoration. Various events advertised, such as a recent beer festival. With five of the eight handpumps in use on a Wednesday evening, I found Black Sheep, a pair from Wye Valley - HPA and Butty Bach - Enville Ale (£3.80) and XXX from Three Tuns.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Plough

A large splendid looking red brick building which became a licensed premises in 1861. Its changing beers are marked by the engraved windows. The name Pearson's, Entire, bass and more recent Enville can be observed.
We found this pub to be very comfortable and had a nice relaxed atmosphere. There were 8 handpumps all of which were in use on this visit. We went for the Hobson's Town Crier, which was in great shape.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Plough

A fantastic Victorian/Edwardian corner pub and eatery with rear patio area. The pub is in a mix of mock-Tudor with a hint of the Gothic style and is in predominantly red brick with some cream stone around the window as well as some black paintwork around the entrance, which has pilasters and a large rounded door.

The interior has a couple of rooms served by a central island bar. The front room is set-up for food, with dining tables and i have eaten here - the food was fine and reasonably priced. The decor is a grey colour, with an interesting collection of old radios on display. The back room has a pool table in a side annex. The decor again is lighter grey walls with a darker grey ceiling and a blue patterned carpet. There are mirrors on the walls and some rugby pictures too. The TV wasn't on and there was no music. The service was fine and the clientele mixed - busy with drinkers and diners of all ages.

Beer; usual tap stuff with M&B MILD. There are 7 real ale handpulls, which at the last visit had Pedigree, Enville Ale, Hobson's Town Crier, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Spekky Hen, Purity UBU and Wye Valley HPA. All that i tried were well kept.

Another quality pub in Wollaston. One definitely to visit and one that i would return to, and have since i wrote the notes - indeed, we ate. I could stay here for hours.

Steve Thorpe left this review about The Plough

Visited this pub for the first time on 2nd September 2010 and very nice it is too. An old rambling pub offering two large rooms and a good sized beer garden. A good handful of real ales were on offer as well as food and the pint of Hooky Bitter was excellent. One critisism; the glasses - too many bubbles stiking to the side of the glass, never a good look!

Two of the pub's windows still advertise Pearson's Entire - a brew of long, long ago!
