Visited Monday 31/01/2011. A Bathams owned local man's drinking pub serving solely Bathams Bitter and Mild (not full measures but fantastic quality!). Cobs snacks and 'gas' drinks available. The bar area intrudes on the customers space due to the 'L' shape. Good sized car park and beer garden. Worth a visit but would be better if a guest ale choice was offered. Surely Bathams aren't afraid of competition?

Sort of single roomed pub with the bar running up the middle making it a U shape inside. It had a locals' feel to it but it was OK - our group tucked themselves away at the back near to the kitchen.
Batham's Bitter, MILD and XXX on handpull. I had the bitter with a crusty cheese and onion cob and jolly good it was too.
I would go back at some point but as I'm a Batham's pub amateur I reckon I should suss out some of their other local establishments first.

The lastest pub to be aquired by Bathams and the mild here is usually top notch

Recently (11-04-08) changed from Banks' to Bathams, now serving mild and bitter plus the usual fizzy stuff. Worth a visit when the regular idiots are removed and all the changes made. Update (7-10-08) lots of work done, some still to complete, pub looks very good. Better pint of Bathams than is served at most of their other pubs. Manager and staff very friendly.
Definitely a place to visit.
