Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The New Inn

Typical Bathams pub; the L-shaped bar has been opened out a bit, and this and the rear seating area have been refurbished at some stage, but all parts retain a traditional feel. Unusually, there was a different beer to try here - Coronation Ale (£4.90 with a cheese and onion cob) - in addition to the regular Mild and Bitter.

A Bathams pub, fairly traditional basic U-shaped interior. My Bitter wasn’t really up to snuff (NBSS 2) despite the fact that it was flying out. Moved onto the XXX which was a bit hairspray tasting (1.5). There seems to be cellar problems here and we dumped our beers and left disappointed.

A well supported locals pub, with good atmosphere on our Friday afternoon visit. The interior is basic and has a central bar area and as expected, the Bathams was flying out over the bar. Prices were excellent and an array of cobs can be purchased whilst supping away.

Always happy to visit a Batham's house and this was no exception. An excellent pint of bitter. No need to add anything else really!

Called in this 2015 Good Beer Pub and enjoyed an excellently served Batham's Bitter. Popular with the locals, but was welcoming to our group. Cobs available.

This is another new Batham's pub to me. It was a Banks's / Hanson's pub originally and according to the review below became a Batham's house in 2008. It's a lot bigger and open plan than their older and better known pubs but is still a firmly traditional boozer with a mix of carpets and tiling on the floor. I went for the Batham's Best (£2.55) which was in great condition. It's a bus ride up from Stourbridge but well worth the effort.

This is a fantastic Georgian styled detached Bathams pub, with rear beer garden and children's play area surrounded by former outbuildings of what may have once been a farmhouse. The pub has three storeys, with small sash windows above and two bays flanking the central door and porch below. The pub is in cream painted brick with toffee paintwork and decorative quoin stones.

The interior has a main L-shaped room in cream and cream wallpapered walls, with a white ceiling. There is a part red tile (in the centre) and part carpeted floor (either end). There are a couple of nice tiled fireplaces with wood surrounds and there are mirrors and old photos of the area on the walls. There is a TV, which had sport on and there was no music. There was a dart board and nice red chairs and perimeter seating. The service was friendly and the clientele consisted of a busy bunch of more mature local people.

Beer; a few usual taps, with Bathams Bitter and MILD on handpull. The MILD was class.

It may have less tiling and be less decorative on the outside than many of the Bathams pubs, but it is both tidy and the beer remains very good. A must, as with any Bathams' house.

Does anyone else agree with me that the great taste of bathams bitter is being undermined by chilling the beer too cold. My 2 favourite pubs the New Inn & the Unicorn have both been overdoing this throughout the summer, i'm hoping that this is only a seasonal issue as the cold detracts from the usual great taste. Real ale doesn't need condensation running down the outside of the glass!

Bathams roadhouse, smaller than it looks from the outside, its really a beer drinking hostel for Bathams fans (of which there are many!)

popular, the beer is well kept.
