A rather un-inspiring 60s Bank's estate pub with a patio area. It is detached and mainly in undressed brick, with some cream coloured panelling on the side. The hub of the building is a large house, with low-level extensions either side.

The interior has two rooms, a bar and a lounge, served by a central bar and both with separate entrances. The bar has a pool table and a dart board and is in red and white walls with a brick floor. There was a TV, showing the footy scores and was populated by a younger crew. The lounge is in white and fake beam (80s look) with some exposed brickwork. There is a curious feature of an internal red slate roof around the bar. There is also a wood dance floor area, while the rest of the room is in a patterned carpet and there is a white artex ceiling. This room is family orientated, with a few TVs showing footy stuff. They didn't do food. The service was fine

Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks's MILD, Wychwood Hobgoblin and a decent enough Jennings Cockerhoop on handpull.

The pub has a bar with the pub games and a family lounge/function room. It is a run-of-the-mill place, with at least a decent range of Banks's beers - i just think it is more for the locals, as the real ale drinkers will likely stop at the places with more variety.

Pub still there, but this fine sign disappeared years ago. Banks's have always had an on-off attitude regarding their sign policy. This was undoubtedly one of their better examples before they went on their 'satellite dish' campaign.
