Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Railway

Slightly optimistically named since it's a good ½-mile from Dorridge station and a bit beyond the built-up area so it's more of a country pub really. Internally, it retains a separate bar and lounge, the latter having a partly opened-out dining room beyond. Traditionally furnished and quite plainly decorated, with a good atmosphere early on a Wednesday evening. Also has a rear beer garden. Reasonably priced menu. Landlord, Courage Best (£3.60), Sharp's Sea Fury and Old Rosie cider available from the various handpumps on each counter.

Nice pub just on the edge of town (no more than 10 minute stroll from the train station). 3 ales on during my visit including the very local Gold Star from Silhill Brewery. Well worth a visit.

Danny O'Revey left this review about The Railway Inn

Traditioanl brick built building on the way out to Hockley Heath. Nothing really olde worlde about it , its more like the buildings you get near canals or railways. There is effort made here on choice and quality of procduct, an interesteing menu and real ales (including local Wetheroak Ale).

Some decorative features including the carved wooden benches and the thin wood beams and the large garden. The landlord's a bit of a grump but ok with it.

Nice place.

Excellent traditional roadside pub on the fringe of the village (actually not very near any railway, despite the name!). Fairly snug bar at the front, and a larger lounge at the rear, with a good range of home-cooked proper pub food available. The main draw would seem to be the beer however - at time of visit 6 excellent and varied ales plus 2 ciders - which no doubt explains the various CAMRA awards. Seems disabled-friendly, and also appears to have large garden area, but closed up for the winter. Note is only a few minutes from the M42, if you can find your way through the back lanes, but get someone else to drive. Recommended.
