Large ember Inn with a reasonable choice of beers including ember Pale, Sadlers Worcester Sorcerer, Thornbridge Jaipur, Purity Ubu, Bombardier and Tribute. The Sadlers was fine. A much better beer choice than the other food places in the area!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fieldhouse

New-build Ember Inn with a spacious semi-open interior housing numerous seating and (mostly) dining areas. On a fine early autumn evening, some of the patio tables on each side of the entrance were also still in use well after sunset. With seven of eight handpumps in operation, the real ale and cider selection was fairly mainstream - except the Rudgate Hop for Heroes (£3.50, less 20p Camra discount).

Soup Dragon left this review about The Fieldhouse

A detached modern, unaesthetic, mainly undressed brick Ember Inns pub/eatery, with steep pitched roof and patio area.

The interior is the usual open plan foody style of these places, with walls of French Mustard colour, red, cream amongst others, as well as some patterned wallpaper and several brick fireplaces. The usual arty pictures, vases, chopped wood and wine display were present, along with high stools, comfy chairs and some wicker furniture in a conservatory kind of area. The silent Sky Sports News TV allows the general music to be piped at a decent level. The service was good, the clientele mixed and as ever with Ember, it was busy. I didn't eat so i can't comment on that.

Beer; tap stuff with Purity, Brew XI, Abbot Ale, Wychwood Wyching and a decent Old Hookey on handpull.

This is a dull building, and the interiors of course are generic. The saving grace was the beer i tried was pretty decent - not a given for Embers. If you live closer to another Ember go there, after all they are all the same inside and there is nothing in the building to attract. This area is blessed with food factories and this place seems no duller than the nearby Monkspath or Plough.

Typical purpose built Ember Inn, not as nice as the nearby Woodmans Rest, though didn't try the food
