A rather plush interior that is nothing like you would expect from the timbered exterior, its a cross between a gentlemans club and, well, a gentlemans club (I expect!) whilst being as camp as a row of tents at the same time, with a very ecclectic mix which, as stated below, does actually work.

Nice and different

I've been to the Bluebell a few times and recently went for lunch with friends. They've got a new Menu du Jour which was great - it wasn't your ordinary gastro pub food, but a bit different and was all absolutely delicious! There's a great atmosphere in the place, you can tell it still is a local pub and it has a really friendly vibe, great choice of beers from the bar - think it must be a freehouse as they seem to have a good selection of local ales as well as the usual. But the surprising thing is how good the food was - we were really impressed and will definitely be going again soon!

Another terraced black bean and white rendered building, with a beer patio.

The interior is an eclectic mix of traditional, modern, gothic and other styles that acctually works. The interior is open plan, with stone flagstones, beams and plain walls adorned with ostentatious mirrors. The tables have candlesticks (and candles) that wouldnt look out of place in a Gothic mansion and there is even a little golden Buddha statue in the corner. The seating mixes leather Chesterfield and dark high-backed wood and whicker chairs. The music was easy listening stuff. It is also an eatery, though we didnt sample it

The service was great; the chap knew his beers, offered samples and was friendly. The clientele was mixed, though it was quiet when we first arrived, it did liven up.

Beers; a few usual thinks with Leffe and continental lagers on tap. There were 3 handpulls; Purity UBU , Weatheroak Victoria Works and Church End Fox Without A Hat; all were good.

Pleased i visited with the wife, rather than friends; i would go back

I was absolutely disgusted with the service recieved. Around 8 of us went into the pub for my uncles 50th, the second we walked in the staff were rude, were unhelpful and made it quite clear they were stuck up snobs. Among our group were my mother and father, separately 3 members of staff were rude to 3 members of our group.
The service of the staff was disgusting we were then asked to leave becuase they "couldn't cope with te amount of people" well the sign outside said "your welcome" if they can't count for 8 people then they have a serious problem. My boyfriend himself is a restaurant manager and was absolutely disgusted to be treated like this.
The place deserves to be shut down because of its stuck up rude staff.
