This is a 1970s styled pub, built on the site of an earler Victorian pub, called the Wagon and Horses - a name i believe the rebuilt pub retained until recently. The pub is a brick and white rendered 'house', with low-level brick extension. There is a decaying patio area. The interior has a couple of rooms, both generally in red and white, with laminate flooring. The smaller is the bar, which has a pool table and a few TVs showing the footy. The larger is a louge, which has a hatch for ordering food, and also has lots of TVs showing footy. There is a dart board too - between TVs. There was no music and little in the way of pictures, as there wasn't space between the TVs. The service was functional and there was a good mixed aged crowd in, some eating, others drinking. Beer; usual tap stuff with M&B MILD. No real ale. I had a shandy. Nothing for the real ale fan, one for the sport fans and if hungry.

Renamed "The Desi 2", and is just off the main Oldbury Road on the Smethwick-Oldbury carriageway. There's a big free car park nearby, and can also be reached from the little street called Nine Leasowes, and also the railway access road just after Holly Lane. Close to Smethwick Galton Bridge Railway station;
