The Vine is quite deceptive with a smallish bar to left as you enter but with quite a large room to the rear and a beer garden (of sorts). Hobgoblin on which was fine. Happy to pop in for a game of pool. A classic locals pub.

A terraced undressed brick Banks's pub, with dormer windows. Looks 1950s and is set back from the adjacent buildings, presuamably as it is a newer build. Also has a back patio area.

The interior has two rooms, with the serving bar effectively between them. The front room is a small lounge in green patterned wallpaper. The back room was a lot larger and had a pool table and a TV, which wasn't on. The decor here cream wallpaper with some wood panel and that 'nicotine stained' coloured ceiling. There are some mirrors, tram pictures and sports stuff dotted about. The service was fine and the front room busy, the back room less so, with what felt like locals, of all ages. There was soft background music.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD and bitter on electronic cask pumps - the MILD was fine.

A proper pub and the opposite of the Shoulder of Mutton - more of a locals town centre place. Happy enough to pop in for a MILD and game of pool.
