A decent pub which opens early (9.30). Hobgoblin and Jennings Cumberland on offer. We went for the latter and it was fine. Happy to call in again.

A little cottage styled end terrace Banks's pub, un cream render and undressed brick, with a rear patio area.

The interior had a couple of rooms; front and back with a central serving bar area. The bar room i only saw in passing and i think was in the same decor as the lounge; cream and red. It also had a TV. The lounge had a couple of fireplaces, one tiled and some arty pictures on the walls, as well as some West Bromwich Albion memorabilia. There was a dart board at the far end of the room, but sadly, the music at this point was deafening - indeed, when the music stopped my friend missed the board! The service was fine and the clientele were clearly regulars and both friendly and unique.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD, Bitter and an excellent Jenning's Robin Redbreast.

The annoyance of the loud music was offset by the hilarious clientele, the darts and the quality of the pint. Worth popping into for one.
