Soup Dragon left this review about The Kingfisher Hotel

A detached pub and club, with patio area (and barrel tables). It has recently been taken over by the same people that run the Park, Wall Heath Tavern and Lenches (Lench's) Bridge. The place opened c1930, as the Kingfisher Country Club and having a massive swimming pool. It is somewhat symmetrical, with a large bow frontage, conservatory wings and a thatched roof. The interior has a club room and a function room, both of which I didn't see. The bar is an irregular shaped room, which is unfinished - the widow frames needing painting for example. It is currently in white and cream. Settles are juxtaposed with high chairs and stools and the walls have Beatles memorabilia, odd prints and other curiosities on them. There was no TV. They do food, but we didn't eat so can't comment on that. There is, unusually, a fish tank actually on the bar itself. The service was fine, but the place was pretty empty. Beer; usual tap stuff with Birra Moretti. Advertised as having up to 7 real ales on, we were disappointed to find just two; Enville Ale (replacing the Ginger that just went) and Enville Cherry - both of which were decent. This is a work in progress, and a place I will return to see how it does.
