Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Park Tavern

Notionally a Greene King house, but the four handpumps in the comfortable L-shaped lounge had clips for Salopian Oracle, a pair from Wye Valley - Butty Bach and HPA - and a very good pint of Batham's Bitter (£3.40). The public bar is on the other side of the central servery and has a similar (if slightly plainer) appearance. With an excellent community atmosphere, I really enjoyed my brief stop here.

Old management team have left and the tenancy has been taken on by Sheldon Inns Ltd. Prices are very high; £3.60 for ales below 4.6%, £3.80 above. Bathams is on at £3, but doesn't seem to taste right. Staff are as friendly as ever, but only a few customers in so only Bathams and lager had been served.

This was our first pub to visit on our Vintage bus tour of the Black Country and what a good place to start. The service was excellent in spite of the large number of people entering the pub at once. A phone call ahead of our visit did help and the pub was well staffed. We spent a full hour here, which was a good choice as the beer was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and their cobs on the bar were top notch at £1.50 each.
I went for the Enville, which was in peak condition. Other beers on was the Enville Ginger, Bathams, Timothy Taylor and the guest was a Bombardier Special. The interior is as Soupy describes, the landlord made the effort to stand at the door and thank us for our visit when we were leaving.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Park Tavern

This is a detached Victorian corner pub with a beer garden. The pub is of a cottage-style, extended at the back and is in cream, with black bay windows on a stone foundation, and a dog-tooth cornice. The interior has a couple of rooms. To the left is the lounge, which is in a cream flower wallpaper, with red chimney breasts and a white and beam ceiling. Red perimeter seats are matched with the carpet. There are a couple of fireplaces. There are lots of paintings of the pub and other places on the walls. The TV wasn't on in here. The other room is the bar - where a coiple of TVs were on showing the tennis. This room is in green and white, with a green brick fire. There is a dart board and a few plates and ornaments. The service was fine and the place busy with a mixed clientele. Beer; usual tap stuff with Enville Ginger, Bathams Bitter and Timothy Taylor Landlord on handpull - the beer was really good. A class little place and one you could spend all day in. Definitely worth a visit.

Good atmosphere, resident Bathams, other real ales on guest basis. Various lagers. Well worth a visit, although can get busy.
New landlord (Dec 09) seems to have the right idea. Beer quality has improved and the old regulars are coming back. Cobs now available, plus some specials during football, rugby etc.

Visited Monday 24th Jan 2011. A busy local serving Bathams Bitter, Enville Ale, and guest beers Purity Ubu, Beartown Bear Arse - all of good quality. Also available are various 'gas drinks', cobs and crisps etc. Bar staff could be more welcoming. The new manager has settled in well and has stopped the 'fall' and made the Park nearly as good as when Phil was in charge.

Good locals drinking hole. New landlord seems to be coping. Fine guest beers, always Bathams and up to 3 other guest ales. July 2007
ps. New landlord has left suddenly so now in hands of temporary managers - will the beer suffer?
July 2008. Pub is suffering from a succession of temporary landlords (new landlady is off sick for six months+) and locals are deserting for a new Bathams pub nearby. Beer not good!
