Another great conversion from one of my favourite pub chains. A complete transformation from the tired Bridge I used to know. A roaring open fire and a friendly welcome is always a good start. Add to that a choice of 10 ales, 2 ciders and a mountain of cobs and you have just about nailed it for me! I went for the BCA Citra Sublime which was excellent. The place was very busy and so it should be. My only regret is that I had to move on somewhere else!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bridge

Now a Black Country Ales house, so a very welcome addition to the area (and doing excellent business on a Thursday evening). The various seating areas have been fully refurbished in this mini-chain's usual comfortable, semi-traditional style, with one part having a functioning real fire. As expected, an excellent choice of cask ales (with three from the owning brewery and seven guests) in a variety of styles, plus a pair of draught ciders. After some consideration, I opted for the green-hopped Limelight from Welbeck (£3.55) and this proved an excellent choice.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Bridge

A good sized pub offering a choice of ten ales on our visit. Four ales from Black Country ales and six guests. The interior is tastefully finished with William Morris wallpapered walls, carpeted throughout and good seating options. The pub also had a selection of cobs, pork pies and samosas. Stayed in here for a good while, hard one to leave.

Decent refurbishment, the outside area is pleasant and dog friendly.
Good range of beers, the few times I've been in they had a dark ale/porter on sale.
Worth a visit.

I am delighted to say that The Bridge has been acquired by Black Country Ales. I am a big fan of their pubs and will look forward to visiting when it is back open. Hopefully late summer !

Soup Dragon left this review about The Bridge Inn

This is a detached pub with rear beer garden area. There has been a pub on the site since at least the 1880s, possibly built to service the former gas works over the road. The pub has probably had a revamp - it is now in a mock-Tudor white and beam style, with a projecting gabled gallery and large brick stacks. The interior has a couple of rooms that are served from a central island bar. The main room is the bar and there is a smaller lounge behind. The general decor is of white and wood (odd bit of patterned wallpaper), with a carpet and red tile floor and white ceiling. there is a dart board and a TV (not on) and the background music was general and soft. A few sport and old photos (Magna Carta is a bit different!) are on the walls. The service was very friendly, as were the locals that were in. Beer; usual tap stuff with Ringwood Boondoggle, Banks's Bitter and a decent Banks's MILD on handpull. Another solid performer, a place i was happy to visit and to return to.

Roadside pub, maybe a little plain inside, there are two rooms, not too different between them.

Very friendly though and beer is good - tied to Marstons, there are guests from their stable.

Surprisingly good local drinking hole. Good range of beers. Can be busy on games night.
