This is a detached pub with rear patio area. The pub looks like it is 1930s and is in cream render withgreen paintwork. The main central entrance is flanked by bay windows, but it has an uneven feel due to an end door which was originally (and still marked) for outdoor sales. There is some nice etched glass.

The interior has a couple of rooms, both served by the central serving bar. The bar room is at the front - a straight room seemingly created from what was a smoke room and a bar during a refurbishment. It has white and coffee walls, with a white ceiling and a part patterned carpet where the dart board is and a part fake tile around the actual bar. The walls have some nice old photos and mirrors on for interest. There are a few TVs, one was on showing the footy and there was no background music. The lounge, behind, i didn't see too much of, but looked in the same decor. The service has been friendly at my visits, as are the local clientele.

Beer; usual tap stuff with Slaters Thin Ice (just ran out) and a decent Enville Ale on handpull.

A really enjoyable pub; friendly with decent real ale. Have visited a couple of times now and would always pop back if in the area.
