Soup Dragon left this review about King William

A detached pub, with patio area. This is a 1930's new build, which replaced a pub over the road (now demolished - but not immediately after this pub was built). The original pub was called the William IV, suggesting it was an 1830s beerhouse. The new pub was likely built to accommodate the new housing springing up in the area at that time. The pub, in cream render, consists of a 30s style house, with hipped roof an bay windows, along with a low-level extension, also with bay windows. The interior has a couple of rooms. The bar is at the front. It is in red and white, with traditional red perimeter seating. It has darts and pool. a few prints are on the walls and X-Factor was on the TV, so I went into the back! The back room was in a similar décor, with a tiled fireplace. There is also a dart board here, but I am not sure you could play on it. There was mixed music at a decent level. The service was fine and the place busy with a mixed clientele. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks's MILD and Bitter on hanpull - I had a pint of mixed for a change, and it was decent. A solid enough pub, with pub games - happy to pop into for one.
