I passed by here today (1/3/18) and sadly it has now been knocked down.

A rather bland 60s estate pub, with a low-level extension at the back. The pub is in cream render and undressed brick, with some green paintwork. It was dark when i visited, but it looked like it had a closed-up out-sales shop in the one corner.
The interior had a couple of rooms. There was a lounge at the back, but this was all in darkness and i saw nothing of it. The bar is to the left on entering. It is in cream walls, with a white ceiling and a red carpet and has a small brick fire at one end. This wasn't on, the place was heated by a fan-heater. The room was pretty featureless in the same 60s way as the exterior, despite there being a few electic prints and mirrors on the walls. There was no music, as the TV was showing Emmerdale and Corrie. There was also a dart board. The service was friendly and there were a few locals in enjoying some good natured banter.
Beer; no real ale, all keg - apart from the bitters, which had gone and there was no MILD. I had a lager shandy.
A very basic pub for the locals. Nothing for a real ale drinker.
