Village local. Got the feeling that it had been recently taken over. The staff are from a family and are trying hard to make your visit pleasant.
Two real ales on - a Tribute and something else forgotten. I went for a Birra Moretti, due to the heat.
An odd lunch time menu that contained no sandwiches or snacks. Very reasonable main courses (steak for about a tenner for example) and huge portions. I could hardly move for the rest of the day! Which was not necessarily what I was after but your cannot argue with the value for money.
