The Elephant and Castle was a fairly large stand alone pub that was set back from the road.
Once inside the pub had a large basic bar that had a tiled floor and normal tables and chairs,there was a seperate lounge which was out of use on my visit.
The pub was an Holdens tied house when i visited it,there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Holdens bitter which went down well,the other beer was Holdens mild.
The pub was almost empty on my Friday dinner visit.
This was one of the poorer Holdens tied houses i have been in.
