I am glad to say the Dog has opened back up today! An extensive refit - now with 2 cask and 7 keg. I'll check it out soon!

This is an end terraced corner pub, with a patio area at the back. Hidden behind the now gaudy exterior (red, grey and white) is an early 19th century plain brick pub, with bay windows that run the full height. There is a central Roman doorway. The interior has a single L-shaped room, now the old rooms have gone. It is equally as gaudy, being in red, cream, chocolate, gold and fake beams. The old wood serving bar is equally as gaudy. There is a white ceiling and red patterned carpet. There are a few fireplaces, one having been ripped out and hidden behind the fruit machines. A few prints and a few old LPs are on the walls. There is a TV, which was showing horse racing. The service was fine and the place was busy with mature locals, all seemingly drinking cans. Beer; no real ale, just the usual tap stuff, with an OK M&B MILD for £1.90. One for the locals.
