The Vine is now an O'Neill's. Nicely done out and seemed popular. The Guinness was in good shape as you would expect it to be!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Vine

Sizeable Sizzling pub, with a large 'L'-shaped bar but undistinguished furniture and decor. Pool table at one end and a conservatory at the other. Lots of standard food offers, but no sign of people eating in the early evening. Still no real ale on (although the reversed clips are now Doom Bar and Greene King IPA...). Went for the keg M&B Mild, just £2.25 here.

Rubbish Sizzling/Big Plate/Food gastropub place. An L-shaped world of dullness. The worlds dullest selection of beers, both fizzy and real, is what you'll find here. There are 3 handpumps on the bar all of which were off. Then again Doom Bore and Pedigree were the reversed clips so not much miss there.

23/02/2012 Pub has taken a backward step, now no real ale and, certainly on a Saturday evening, had a rather threatening feel. Not much here on the plus side.

01/11/2010 Large open planroadside pub that has the feel of a Harvester. Modern, clean lines its very much in the safe/ordinary bracket, though probably better than some chain pubs. Its food driven, though there is a pool table in one corner.

The beer, I had Wadworths 6X, was ok I guess.

Rather average.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Vine

A large corner brick pub with a little attempt with ashlar corner stones to a least give some individuality.

The large open plan pubco type of interior is of course all too familiar. The decor of red and olive green, but this rather soulless foody place did have a moulded ceiling. The music was mixed, there was a TV with the rugby on and there was pool. Service was basic, the clientele were cought between the cheap beer and fagging it in the doorway.

Beer; tap stuff with a passable M&B MILD, with an untried Pedigree and the ditchwater that is John Smiths Cask on handpull, which was being flogged cheap, so i avoided.

A nothing place, far better in Harborne
