Soup Dragon left this review about The Trident

This is a detached pub, with a few benches out front. It is a 60s estate pub, built on a vacant plot of land and somewhat later than the 50s estate around it. It is typical of the period, having a central house building and a low-level extension around it. The frontage is in green and white brick. The interior has a couple of rooms, although the back room, i presume is the lounge, was in darkness at my visit. The bar room is a straight room, with cream walls, white ceiling and a tiled floor. It didn't have much in the way of pictures and had red perimeter seating. The TV had Sky Sports News on and the music was general and from the jukebox. The service was fine and the clientele mature locals - it had a nice atmosphere to be fair. Beer; no real ale, just the usual keg drinks with a decent enough M&B MILD. I was happy enough to visit for a swifty.
