Very long but relatively thin Wetherspoons on Corporation Street in Birmingham.

There is the usual Wetherspoons decor and seating, with patrons of olde Brummegen adorning the walls. Lots of windows to the street give it a feature, but its of no archetectural merit, the same as the surrounding area in this part of the City and all adds to the feeling that there is nothing special here.

Clientele lets say is 'mixed', the fact there was a bouncer on the door at 5pm on a Thursday evening probly tells its own story and an example of the curse of Wetherspoons. Lots of people who looked like they had been in since 9am breakfast, lots of bad language and lots of people speaking loudly on mobile phones.

It seemed clean and tidy, but there are better pubs in Birmingham, and better Wetherspoons.

6 real ales on the long bar and 2 ciders, quality ok

Due to the huge length of the bar the density of staff serving can get low, especially at peak times.
There are better JDW in the city centre in this respect.

Not my favourite Wetherspoons in Birmingham, as despite having one of the longest bars there are often few guest ales on. We had the controversial Hilden Gael Rua here and yes it was smokey but no it was not off. Aquired taste maybe. I tried it before buying, then had the half pint. The other beer was Mordue IPA. The food was OK and came quicker than expected.

Possibly JDW's longest room in City, On major road for bus stops. You will get full of customers waiting for bus drink in here. My bus to Tamworth stops mere few seconds from Square Peg. I must say it is not the better JDWs in B'ham as you will get occasionally drunks and people asking you for fags. I only come in as it is last pub before catch the bus.

Long thin JDW with a much greater lowlife level than most. I had no problem getting served at the bar, but the problem was that they didn't have any beer to sell. All the handpumps said "Coming soon" or "Not currently available" except the Ruddles and Abbott. Two JDWs in Birmingham in two days and neither had any beer. Pathetic.

Friendly service but a dire experience with drunks, fights and grimy loos all ready to welcome you....Fine in an emergency

On the ground floor of what used to be Lewis's Department Store at corner of Corporation St & Bull St. Within walking distance of all 3 of Brums Railway stations. Large Weatherspoons house with bouncers. Also generally has a gauntlet to nicotine junkies at the main entrance. Drink there occasionally when waiting to meet friends in the city, then move on to other places which doesn't say lot for the place does it! Gets crowded throughout the day, possibly due to its location.
