Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Queens Head
Old-school corner local with three distinct areas: the small 'L'-shaped bar at the front, a compact seating area with banquette seating and six small tables further back and a pool room off to the side at the rear. Sound system in use on a Sunday evening, belting out some (admittedly decent) reggae and blues at quite a volume. No real ale, and even the keg Banks's Mild was off, so made do with the Tetley's Smoothflow (£2.70).

The Queens Head is a decent looking back street corner pub,that is situated in a fairly quiet area,but close to a busy road junction.
Once inside there was an L shaped room to the front,the room had becnh seating around the sides,there was some music type equipment to the front left and there was music playing from it,there was a pool table to the rear left,the floor was part carpeted and part lino.
There were no real ales on the bar,i opted for a drink of keg Tetley bitter,this took an age to serve,so i went to the toilet when i came back the bar lady was still trying to pour it,so i asked for Banks's mild this also took ages to serve,this was a very poor drink of Keg banks's mild.
The pub was fairly busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
This is a locals pub,but it is nice to see small pubs like this still open.

A detached white rendered pub, with black paint work
The interior is a single U-shaped room around the serving bar. The decor is a red and cream, with red ceiling alond with, as what Danny says, basic bench seating and stools. There were Irish flags and ephemera for decoration. There was a karaoke on, which was in the area as soon as we walked in, so we got our drinks and moved to the other area, where there is a pool table and a TV, which had the news on. The service was fine, the music supplied via a loud karaoke and the place was very popular with what i assume are a local crowd - there were plenty of singers anyway!
Beer; no real ale, all keg, with Banks's MILD, which was fine enough
Nothing for a real ale fan, one for the locals i think.

Rather basic street corner local, one room split into two areas with a bar running through.
There is an Irish influence, with signs, flags atc.
Basic benches/stools and tables.
Needs a bit of TLC, but ok.
Banks mild and John Smiths bitter on keg
