This pub has gone for good, demolished as a part of the station refurbishment - If i remember correctly, it had an entrance from the ramp above and from the floor it was on. An open room, with the bar down one-side - again if i remember correctly, but i hadn't been in for 10 years or so.

Ever since that eventual day in 2006, I didn't return to The Newt. I was middle of huge mass brawl between Brum and Spurs supporters. I just happened be ordred a nice quick pint when the fight occured. Glass ashtray missed my face by few inches. I am not bothered to review this pub.

This pub has started improving the beer, but there is still an air of desperation about it, can't describe it really, its just something you feel when you are inside?

Think I'd sooner have my head kicked in than drink here. Adjacent to New St Station & even less comfortable. Much better pubs nearby - try The Wellington on Bennetts Hill.

Rude staff. Expensive/poor tasting beer. One to avoid, Yard Of Ale is a less than minute walk round the corner and is much better.
