Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The New Inns

This place can't seem to decide whether it's singular (as per the Facebook page and some interior notices) or plural (as still on the exterior signage). Anyway, it retains two separate bars and has some fine etched windows and brown glazed tiling to the lower façade so it is not devoid of interest. Irish-themed decor throughout, and quite a convivial atmosphere. Rear courtyard advertised. No real ale nowadays, unfortunately, so made do with a Worthington Smoothflow (£2.80).

An impressive looking detached pub with bear garden to the rear. The pub looks Victorian/Edwardian and is in white render with two front facing timber framed gables with bow windows and a fantastic frontage of brown salt glazed tiles and etched windows.

The interior has a couple of rooms. The lounge is at the rear and is an L-shaped room in red and white, with a wood 'coloured' cornice to a white ceiling. There is a wood and tile fireplace - though no fire, old bell-pushes on the walls and pictures of the Villa and old Birmingham/Erdington on the walls. There is a pull-down screen for the sport as well. The music in this room was general and at a decent level. The front room is the bar, which is in green and white and celebrates its Irish theme with Gaelic football shirts adorning the walls. The TVs had horse racing and the mature clientele in here provided a chorus of approval or disapproval to the result. The service was very good.

Beer; usual keg stuff with a decent M&B MILD. The only handpull was Abbot Ale, which had just ran out.

A nice Irish themed pub, happy to pop into for one when in the area.
