Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bulls Head

Fine-looking Marston's pub in an elevated position overlooking The Green. The multi-room interior has been given a semi-modern makeover at some stage, but the elongated bar at the front remains quite impressive, with a slightly raised seating area at one end and a pool room located up a few steps at the other. The separate, smaller lounge can then be found further back, just by the fabulous tiled stairwell. I found two of the three handpumps on the main counter being used, with Pedigree and Wainwright (£3.20) available and Bombardier coming next.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Bulls Head

A detached c1900s Sizzling chain pub and eatery, with patio, that replaced and earlier pub on the same site with the same name - indeed, the usued to be a pub next door (nearer the church and now called St Nicholas' Place) called the Saracen's Head, which won the 2004 BBC series of 'Restoration'. The pub is ina red brick lower with a Jacobean styled white and timber framed upper, that has two front gables with nice crests. The interior has been hacked about of course, but does have two rooms and a fantastic green glazed tiled staircase leading to the function room. There is a small bar room, square, with bench seats, TVs showing sport and which had music. This is the locals room. The main front room is the dining area, with no TV or music. It is in the usual mix of coloured walls; cream, red with the odd papered wall. It gives a nice view over the green and has a moulded ceiling, fireplace and the usual Sizzling busy patterned carpet! I didn't eat here, so can't comment on the. The service was fine. Beer; no real ale - just had Guinness, which was fine enough. Nothing for the real ale fan, one for the locals.
