Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Bush

Solid-looking pub near the basin at the end of the Wednesbury Oak Loop Canal. Opened-out inside to leave a 'J'-shaped bar with a pool 'room' in one corner, with semi-modern furniture but very dull blue and purple paintwork throughout. Basic beer garden at the back. Indo-Chinese menu. Two handpumps on the counter, clipped for Sharp's Doom Bar and Atlantic, but sadly no real ale available. Made do with the M&B Mild (£2.40).

The Old Bush has had a make over and is now a bar / Indian restaurant. Spotless inside with friendly service. Nothing beer wise but plenty of choice if you like the fizzy stuff! The menu looked good (and smelt good!). Nice to see a pub kept open and having a go!

Soup Dragon left this review about The Old Bush

A detached Marston's 1930s-looking undressed brick pub, with rear patio area. The pub is quite narrow and uses protruding bricks to add interest to the facade, which was symmetrical in design until the one doorway was blocked.

The interior has a couple of longer narrow rooms that run near parallel and are served by a central serving bar. The front room is the bar room. It is in white, with a red chimney breat (no fireplace), a white ceiling and a red tile floor, with mainly green perimeter and stool seating. There is a dart board and a TV, which was showing the footy. There was no music. A few bits of Wolves memorabilia are on the walls, along with a shirt and poster of the Sunday league team. The lounge was in subdued light. It is in white and wood panel, with white ceiling and carpet floor. A nice little fire was burning away at one end. The service was good and the clientele consisted of a dozen locals (including the gaffers) that were friendly and having some good banter with their customers - it was more entertaining than the footy too be honest.

Beer; usual tap stuff with Ringwood 49er and a class Jennings Dark MILD on handpull.

A friendly and welcoming locals pub that also does real ale - not only that, but the MILD was as good as you will get it. I enjoyed my stop here and definitely would pop in again if around.
