There were five or six locals in the Black Horse during a recent Sunday afternoon visit, all watching football via Sky Sports on the screens throughout this L-shaped pub. Seating is found either side of the entrance and then some steps ascend to the raised bar area up the right. More seating is found at the rear where there is an exit to the car park and accommodation. Standard keg was available alongside Madri and Staropramen. I didn’t spot any hand pumps, but there was a premixed cocktail four tap font, which surprised me because it was so sedate. Maybe there is a much livelier atmosphere on Friday and Saturday evenings. The service was polite, but I don’t plan on returning because the only thing I spotted of interest was an old cigarette machine on the wall that bought back a few memories of the good old days.

A little bit run down and suffering from not being the main hub for drinkers. Good standard fair and pleasant service and for that it deserves more custom than it gets.
