The Wild Boar has a front bar area with serving counter that supports premium and craft keg. I also counted six hand pumps that were drawing Slaughterhouse’s Wild Boar, The Pod People and Alright, Alright, Alright!, Windmill Hill Brewing’s IPA and Pale as well as Oakham’s Citra. There were also four craft ales available, but I went for the Pod People which was enjoyable. Behind the bar is a tile floored seating area and the cheering, and happy birthday signs, led me to believe that there is a function room at the rear. There was some folky type music playing in the background. I liked it in here, one for a revisit.

Pick of the pubs in Warwick for me. Good Beer Guide 2023 and a regular.
Its the brewery tap for the Slaughterhouse brewery and had a wide range of their beers on. I tried (and enjoyed) Poking the Bear Blonde Ale.
I also tried a craft New World IPA, which I am fairly sure is from Northern Monk. £6.50 for a 6%er.
Very friendly owner, customers and pub dog. The first pub out of four where I could take off my mittens and coat on a freezing Jan afternoon, thanks to a roaring coal fire.
Super handy for the station, so should be your opener and/or closer if on a crawl.

Great pub with a good choice of ales on. Slightly away from the main centre and better for it! Beers included Slaughterhouse saddleback and Isolator as well as guests such as Oakham Citra. I went for the saddleback which was excellent. A choice of craft ales too. Well worth a visit.

Arguably the best pub in Warwick City Centre. Its also a brewpub but I never noticed the brewing equipment. Two roomed with the action being in the larger room. 10 handpulls on the bar and a good variety of styles on. Definitely a must do if in Warwick. Possibly the best pub during my Warwick visit.

This one has been well described below. It's probably the smallest Project William pub I've seen. I was surprised to find that the Slaughterhouse brewery is actually in the pub with just a two barrel plant. Despite that, five of the nine beers from the ten hand pumps were their own, Saddleback, Snout Stout, Beer D'Eau and Hog Rider. The other four were Everard's Sunchaser, Hobson's Twisted Spire & Champion Mild and Ashover Butts Pale Ale. I went for the Butts Pale (£3.50) and Altbier (£3.30). The Butts was fine but the Altbier was horrendously sweet, like a mug of tea with 5 heaped teaspoons of sugar. The condition of it seemed OK so maybe there was an error with the brew.
As well as having its own brewery inside this one has the added advantage of not being on the tourist radar.

A Project William pub (hooray for Everards), this one is run by Slaughterhose who also have their own brewery here. Has been modernized in a fairly sympathetic manner. Enter to main bar, with removed central fireplace. Almost a secret room to right with floor to ceiling wood panelling and with window views to the in-house brewery beyond. Flowers on the tables were a nice touch. Down corridor past the gents is a large skittle alley and a decent decked/gravel garden. Food offered via the smallest menu ever - eight options over three courses! Best do it small and Get It Right I suppose. Ten pumps with seven on, 3x Slaughterhouse, Everards Sunchaser, Tring Moongazing, Vale Brill and Merrimen Merri Weather (excellent shape). Also proper cider. A good little place I’ll be doing at the beginning of a crawl - rather than that end - next time.

Another successful Project William pub this time with the Slaughterhouse brewery.
There are some detailed reviews below which I won't repeat but would note that on a chilly day the fire was lit and the welcome friendly here.
Beers on were: Slaughterhouse Wild Boar 5.2%, Saddleback 3.9%, American Pale Ale 3.7% and Snout Stout 4.3% in addition to Everards Tiger 4.2%, Burton Bridge Golden Delicious 3.8%, Goffs Tournament 4%, Wychwood Dirty Tackle 4% and Long Itch Darkside 4.8%. Everything we tried was in good shape and I enjoyed the Slaughterhouse beers but personally would have preferred a selection slightly less weighted to the lower end of the strength scale.
An excellent pub with probably the best selection of beers in Warwick so well worth a visit.

A Project William pub featuring Slaughterhouse beers brewed on the premises and other local microbrewers output.The pub itself is not large,the front tap room is L shaped with a real fireplace and is divided by a brick column which may have been a former fireplace.The furniture is dining type tables but you can pitch down anywhere for a beer.The decor in light pastel shades is modern and there was light jazz as muzak.The island bar also serves the charming wood panelled snug at the rear,well described by ROB Camra,while there is also an alcove with an off licence window,an original feature.The corridor to the loos gives a good view of the brewing process.The rear function room was being decked out for a retirement party.
Food is a popular draw here,featuring a selection of pies and some pub grub staples at reasonable prices.The nosh was proving popular with the nurses from the hospital up the road on my lunchtime trip.The garden courtyard is worth a look ,it serves as a hop garden for the brewer.
The 10 handpumps include a real cider besides 4 Slaughterhouse ales on my trip ,the Wild Boar was tip top.I also enjoyed a Long Itch Darkside but the other selections had a theme of low ABV brews so the third pint went to Everards Tiger,a regular beer,which tells a tale about the selection on the day,we may have been unlucky.However the barman was very polite and efficient and given that Warwick is not overburdened by great real ale pubs this is a must visit and would be my first port of call,and quite possibly my only.Not far from the Grand Union at Bridge 49 and very close to the station.

A great backstreet pub with a choice of 6 or 7 well kept real ales.
It has been modernised inside and more of an arty feel than traditional. Its great to see the micro brewery from the corridor.
There did seem to be a large number of dogs in the pub, a couple free to roam, so it may not be to everybody's cup of tea, especially if you are eating.

My favourite pub in Warwick. As described by Ray below, there's also a beer garden at the back. There's a model of HMS Victory in the snug and a video showing how it was built. The Slaughterhouse Green Hopper is made with their own hops picked from the pubs back garden. You can also watch the brewer at work from the snug through a viewing window into the brewery. We called in for one, expecting to have two and ended up watching several buses back to Leamington go by as we had three. The Slaughterhouse Green Hopper & Boar D'eau plus Church Farm Rens Pride were all in excellent condition and Ms CAMRA liked the red wine. There was also a lot of banter going on between the barmaid and the locals. Very close to Warwick station this pub is worth breaking your journey for.
